John WilliamsAbout
Originally released in 1990, this album takes the form of a ‘Best Of’ album, with music from the original Star Wars trilogy, episodes IV, V and VI. However, rather than just a compilation of tracks from the original motion picture soundtracks, John Williams specially arranged the most-loved themes from the series into their own distinct and powerful concert pieces, showing off the great music and memorable tunes from the films at their best.
Recorded in 1990 with John Williams himself conducting the Skywalker Symphony at George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch, this is not just an incredible sounding album, but a piece of Star Wars history. No collection of Star Wars music would be complete without these defining and original works written and conducted John Williams.
